THE OPTIMIST CREED
ABOUT US
Founded in 1955, the men and women of the Lincoln Sunrise Optimist Club represent a cross section of our community. As Optimists, they participate in a wide range of youth serving activities including Academic Decathlon; Oratorical Contests; the Homer’s Heroes challenger baseball program; and Pitch, Hit, & Run and Punt, Pass, & Kick events; all while helping to sponsor even more including our Middle School Student of the Week recognition.
If you realize the importance of providing youth with opportunities to be successful and to be involved with positive adult role models, we invite you to visit our regular Sunrise Optimist Club meeting at 7:00 am on Wednesdays at Stauffer’s Cafe, 5600 S. 48th. You’re encouraged to meet some of our members, experience the camaraderie, and consider joining us permanently.
Our meeting is a great way to start your day. You may order breakfast from the menu. The generous portions make the meal a bargain, the conversation is lively, and the programs informative. Statistics tell us that each new Optimist member helps to serve an additional 30+ youth within our community. We hope you will want to consider joining us in helping kids.
